The NTXHL only allowed the Dragons to play in the travel league for 1 season, quickly adding rules that were not in favor of small communities such as Southlake and Highland Park who were trying to build community travel-HS programs much like McKinney has today. I believe the U16’s may have won the NTXHL Championship that year. The JV Gold team played HS as well as U16 in the travel league NTXHL (North Texas Hockey League which would later become the DSTHL). ![]() OTHER AREA SCHOOLS THROUGH THE AT&T METROPLEX HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY LEAGUE. Southlake Carroll, Plano, Jesuit, and Coppell played a short, 8-game season from January-March with Plano defeating Jesuit in the final.
